Mud & Lotus opens The Cloud Room: Three sensory stations for holistic wellness

In this episode, we give an inside look at The Cloud Room, the newest offering from Mud & Lotus, the holistic health spa located in downtown Lawrence. The experience unites three sensory stations in one room, which offer therapeutic benefits that harmonize the three elements of your body, as recognized by traditional Chinese medicine: jing (essence), qi (vital energy), and shen (spirit).

Jade acupressure massage (jing): Lay back on this heated massage table for a customized massage, designed to alleviate spinal, neck, shoulder, and back tension. This station improves circulation, provides pain relief, and promotes relaxation.

Aromatherapy salt chamber (qi): Rest in the glowing halotherapy Salt Chamber while breathing in micro-particles of therapeutic grade salt and organic essential oils while doing self-paced breathwork exercises. This station activates the immune system and cleanses the respiratory system.

Sound bath lounge chair (shen): This anti-gravity lounge chair is lined with infrared heated crystals and pulsed electromagnetic frequencies while playing a variety of healing frequencies. This station opens up the body’s seven energy centers (chakras) and improves circulation.

In this episode, you’ll hear from Shahida Spann-Ryan about the benefits of these treatments and why she’s passionate about bringing wellness-focused experiences to the Lawrence community.

Mud & Lotus is hosting a grand opening for The Cloud Room from 5-9 p.m. on Fri May 31. The open house, which falls on Final Friday, will feature art by Allysa Rebar, snack platters by Rad Platter, free health mocktails, music, and free chair massages. Learn more on the Facebook event page.
