Lawrence Restaurant Week starts today! To celebrate the people serving our food, we’re highlighting the Hospitality Workers Relief Fund, where the Lawrence Restaurant Association met its goal to distribute $20,000 to service industry workers in need last year. 👩🏽🍳
The fund started as a necessity during COVID, but it’s now a permanent source of assistance for housing, healthcare, childcare, and beyond. Tte LRA relies on its community partners — the Ballard Center, Bert Nash, Centro Hispano, and Heartland Community Health — to distribute funds directly to hospitality workers in need.
